i like your ideals, but I don't know if Hydrogen is the ideal fuel. Considering that Hydrogen is made from oil, and with recent spikes in oil prices, renewable energy and nuclear power are better alternatives.
or rather, they MAY BE better atlternatives.
Another ideal that seems to me as being worthwhile (and you needn't necessarily take me seriously) is a "think-tank" focused on political research, foreign policy analysis, economic analysis, and energy security. We have enough and more science research centres that, sadly, are grossly underfunded compared to counterparts overseas, especially in the US. More funding for research and provision of more opportunities for research in up-&-coming fields might also serve to reverse "brain drain".
Adequete healthcare is a LONG term goal. We first need some sort of welfare system to ensure that those in need can get medical treatment when they need it, without having to pay.
